Il 6 febbraio sarà la Grande Sfilata di apertura del Carnevale a via del Corso ad inaugurare la festa, con un corteo di rappresentanze di artisti, nobili, popolo e militari, come la banda militare a cavallo dell’ottavo Reggimento dei Lancieri di Montebello in tenuta storica, aperto dal Palio di Roma e chiuso da un folto drappello di mangiafuoco e maschere di Carnevale. Il 13 e 14 febbraio a Piazza del Popolo avrà luogo, lo spettacolo equestre, con la regia di Umberto Scotti e artisti del calibro di Jean Francois Pignon, Hasta Luego, Pasquale Beretta, Alizee Froment, I butteri di Manlio Fani, i Movieriders2, mentre per i più piccoli, il 14 febbraio, ci sarà il Battesimo del pony, il Carosello in costume carnevalesco e la grande sfilata in maschera dei bambini sui pony. Questa edizione 2010 del Carnevale Romano prevede anche una mostra sulla maschera a Palazzo Braschi, un concorso per l’illuminazione più bella sui balconi della città, con tanto di giuria popolare, l’apertura di alcune dimore storiche romane e il suggestivo ballo dei Moccoletti.
